"This" is the place where I received my college education! No, not partying (no alcohol allowed) but this place is full of Engineering and IT geeks who make great ab/use of the internet bandwidth, write software and contribute to open source projects, hacking kernels, setting up Linux and BSD servers of all kind, firewalls, VPNs, you name it, etc. The place to be if you're into IT. =)

Right, go out to the real millard area, not barrington park and linden estates neighborhoods, even though those might be in the millard school district... the neighborhoods and many apartments (which people seem to think don't exist in West O)built around millard are pretty far from upper-middle class/incomes.

with the majority of this year's murders occuring east of 72nd and north of blondo... i don't see how that post is wrong and deserves thumbs down... i'm not saying it's your fault, but you have idiots like thunder collins to thank for what's going on in this part of town

This church is a cult. It uses a cafeteria brand of preaching and hate. It's more of a social club than anything.
  • "Public Art" Installation, mharriger wrote 17 years ago:
It is interesting to note that the art installation is controversial not because of its content but because neighbors consider it to be ugly.
  • Velocity Indoor Karting, killakane24 (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
Velocity Indoor Karting in Omaha is the worst place to take your kids if you want a quality experience. It is terribly expensive and most of the carts were out of service. We had to wait an hour to get in a cart and there wasnt' anyone else there. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Midtown Omaha is great! Nice place to live. Close to downtown. Great neighborhoods, restaurants, shops, parks. Very forward looking area of town.

B&W photo is after the 1913 tornado. The fence is down and trees are on the sidewalk; tree-tops have been blown off.
