the website isn't great, but the place has a million tv's and they simulcast every race that could possibly be happening, as well as make available to patrons information on all horses in all races in a handy little booklet that costs $2. the food is fantastic, friday night is $8 prime rib dinner night. they also have pickles and some tv's reserved for other sports as well.

earliest known resident was saml wertheimer, of wertheimer & degen, cattle traders, est. 1907. saml moved into the house in 1912 and lived there for two years. he was active in jewish social clubs, meaning there could be a link between the house and temple israel, located across the street and now functioning as st. john the baptist greek orthodox church. at the time this was a single family home. the house had a new resident or residents every two years or so and could have been a whorehouse or brothel between 1916 and 1920, ran by ms. kate randolph. the house was turned into apartments some time between 1985 and 1992.
